• Day 01 | Kathmandu (1300 m.) Arrival: Pick up from the airport/ Drive to hotel/ briefing/ Dinner |
• Day 02 | Kathmandu: Breakfast, trip to temples and back to Hotel for lunch. After lunch, final preparation for yatra i.e, checking and demonstration of equipment which will be used during yatra. If anyone needs to buy or get things on hire, our staff will give you company. Dinner. |
• Day 03 | FLIGHT KATHMANDU - LHASA: Transfer to the airport for the flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa on Air China. This one-hour trans-Himalayan flight will give you an opportunity to have an aerial view of Mt. Everest and other Himalayan Peaks (weather permitting). Arrival at Gonggar airport around 13.30 hrs. local time. After clearing immigration and customs, a two-hour drive covers the 93 km to Lhasa, situated at an altitude of 3650 meters (13,000ft). Check-in at the Snowland hotel, right in the heart of the old city. |
• Day 04/05 | SIGHTSEEING: During these three days in Lhasa, visit the Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera monasteries, the Norbulinka, and the famous Jokhang Temple including the surrounding Barkhor. |
• Day 06 | LHASA - GYANTSE (Altitude 3900 m.): Begin your overland adventure with a full-day drive to Gyantse. Cross the Kamba La (4794m) and the Karo La pass (5010m), both offering spectacular views. After the Kamba La, arrive at Yamdrok Tso, also known as the Turquoise Lake. Have your camera ready. |
• Day 07 | GYANTSE - SHIGATSE (Altitude 3800 m.): Visit Gyantse Stupa and monastery in the morning, followed by a two-hour drive to Shigatse. Visit the giant Buddha in the famous Tashilumpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama. |
• Day 08 | SHIGATSE - LHATSE/Tingri (Altitude 4350 m/4000m): Travel over two high passes with fine views. Stop for lunch in Lhatse. Depending on the time spent in Shigatse, stay overnight in Lhatse or Tingri. Meet your Nepali staff for the onward journey. |
• Day 09 | Saga (4450m): Drive over the sandy and rocky land of Tibet, with sights of lakes, nomads, yaks, and sheep. Cross the Brahmaputra River and reach Saga for the night. |
• Day 10 | Paryang (4600m) 230 km 7-8 hrs: Travel through wide valleys following rivers and grazing lands of yaks and sheep. Enjoy views of snow-covered peaks, rocky peaks, and sand dunes. Encounter nomads and mobile shopkeepers along the way. |
• Day 11 | Drive Paryang to Manasarovar (4558m) 277km 8 hrs: Longest driving day, ending with the first sight of Holy Kailash Parbat and Manasarovar. Stay in a small village near Lake Manasarovar. |
• Day 12 | Holy-Manasarovar (14950-ft/4558m): Visit the highest freshwater lake with turquoise water, surrounded by Kailash Parbat, Mt. Gurula-Mandala, and Lake Rashekshi. Spend the night at Chu Gumba. |
• Day 13 | Puja and drive to Tarchen (14975ft) 40km: After a morning bath and puja, head to Tarchen, the base camp for the Holy Kailash Parikrama. |
• Day 14 | Trek to Dehara Puk (5000m): Exciting trek along rocky cliffs and waterfalls with views of Kailash Parbat. The 15 km trail takes about 7 hours. |
• Day 15 | Hardest but Holiest day of your pilgrimage Yatra with Dolma-La Pass (18600ft): Cross between two valleys, with opportunities for meditation at the top. Descend past Parvati-stal and Gauri Kunda to Zuthal Puk (the cave of Miracles). |
• Day 16 | End of Kailash Parikrama and drive to Manasarovar: After a 3-hour walk, meet the driving crew and return to your lodge/camp. |
• Day 17 | Drive to Paryang (277km) 7-8 hr. |
• Day 18 | Drive Paryang to Saga (230km) 7-8 hrs |
• Day 19 | Drive to Nylam or Zhangmu (245km) 6-7 hr. |
• Day 20 | Drive back to Kathmandu (150 km) 9-10 hr. |
• Day 21 | Rest Day |
• Day 22 | Transfer to airport for your onward flight. |
